SYNC Gallery presents NEW WORK BY:

WINDOWS

“Windows" is a collection of small collage pieces, constructed of elements collected mainly from magazines and newspapers, old and new, with some paint and pencil overlay. Chad Henry’s goal is to select from the vast treasury of images found randomly in our world, reorganized and repurposed to suggest the mysterious, poetic realities that exist all around us, sometimes in dreams, music, and fantasy – or hiding in the everyday, catching us in a sideways glance, recalling a lost memory.  Henry works in a small format in an attempt to compress and contain these ideas.

SEPARATION

Phyllis Rider’s series of acrylic paintings and monotype prints are a result of isolation during the beginning of the covid-19 shutdown.

Phyllis used her time in the studio reflecting on how “SEPARATION” was affecting her current state of mind, creativity and how she could express those feelings in an abstract way.

The series has a simple concept of thought. The outside black lines, with expressive marks, symbolize an abstract, restricted form of communication that confines the center core of color. The core colors chosen by the artist were influenced by her range of emotions during this confined time.

Exhibition runs October 15th through November 14th, 2020.

Fridays: 1pm - 4pm

Saturdays:  noon - 4pm
